The graveyard shift (a satirical poem video)

A poem about church. For more on this listen to this Mark and Pete podcast episode The graveyard shift Standing in the churchyard as the eulogy was read, Parishioners mourn at solemn words that were said. They all looked around at the many tears shed, As the coffin cortege was respectfully led. Suddenly, the people just shifted and then fled, And the vicar stood astonished filled with dread. Shocked by the headstone he lowered his head, At the immortal statement, 'Religion is dead'.

Proof that God exists (number 5)

The Existence Of God Can Be Proved In Five Ways. Thomas Aquinas the famous theologian and philosopher developed five ways that you can prove the existence of God. The fifth way is taken from the governance of the world. We see that things which lack intelligence, such as natural bodies, act for an end. and this is evident from their acting always, or nearly always, in the same way, so as to obtain the best result Hence it is plain that not fortuitously, but designedly, do they achieve their end. Now whatever lacks intelligence cannot move towards an end, unless it be directed by some being endowed with knowledge and intelligence; as the arrow is shot to its mark by the archer. as the arrow is shot to its mark by the archer. Therefore some intelligent being exists by whom all natural things are directed to their end; and this being we call God.

D Day and the King (a prayer for today)

A VIDEO POEM. It is the anniversary of D Day and on D Day the King of England called for prayer: "At this historic moment surely not one of us is too busy, too young or too old to play a part in a nationwide, perchance a worldwide, vigil of prayer as the great crusade sets forth. If from every place of worship, from home and factory, from men and women of all ages and many races and occupations, our intercessions rise, then, please God, both now and in a future not remote, the predictions of an ancient Psalm may be fulfilled: "The Lord will give strength unto his people: the Lord will give his people the blessing of peace."" Amen. We so need this call of prayer today. Please share.
